“I wanted to get a family ornament as a keepsake to reminisce on each year as we put the tree up as a family, but I wanted something a little more classy and that went with my tree décor than the porcelain paint on kinds at the mall kiosks. I sent Chelsea our most recent family picture, and she nailed it!! So cute and rustic!
I loved it so much, I gifted one to my sister with her family portrait, and a pet portrait of our family dog of 17 years, who died shortly before Christmas. It moved my mom to tears. Chelsea was so sweet throughout the whole process too. She knew I was gifting them as Christmas presents, and when she saw that mail delays would cause them not to arrive on time, she hand delivered them to my house! A coworker and friend of mine was retiring from 30 years of being an educator, and I asked Chelsea to sketch a picture of the middle school that my coworker taught at for 25 of those years. Chelsea sketched the school out beautifully with great detail. I also mentioned the idea of incorporating purple by adding a watercolor splat behind the name of the school. I ended up deciding against it; however, Chelsea gave me two sketches of the school. One with and one without the purple watercolor!
